And they shall pass through it The land, as the Targum and Kimchi supply it; that is, the land of Judea, as Aben Ezra interprets it. Here begins an account of the punishment that should be inflicted on the Jews, for their neglect of the prophecies of the Old Testament, and their rejection of the Messiah:  hardly bestead and hungry ; put to the greatest difficulty to get food to eat, and famishing for want of it; which some understand of the time when Sennacherib's army was before Jerusalem, as Aben Ezra; but it seems better, with others, to refer it to the times of Zedekiah, when there was a sore famine, (  Jeremiah 52:6  ) though best of all to the besieging of Jerusalem, by the Romans, and the times preceding it, (  Matthew 24:7   Matthew 24:21   Matthew 24:22  ) and it may also be applied to the famine of hearing the word before that, when the Gospel, the kingdom of heaven, was taken from them, for their contempt of it:  and it shall come to pass, when they shall be hungry :

Some may imagine that they cannot serve Christ actively and still have fellowship with Him; they are mistaken. Who Were the Nicolaitans, and What Was Their Doctrine and Deeds?

But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. Revelation 2:6 Have you ever wondered who the "Nicolaitans" were, mentioned in the book of Revelation? Whoever they were, Jesus loathed their doctrine and hated their deeds. Let's delve into this subject today to see if we can ascertain the identity of this group. What was their damnable doctrine? What deeds were they committing that elicited such a strong reaction from Jesus? Let's begin in Revelation 2:6, where Jesus told the church of Ephesus, "But this thou hast [in your favor], that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate." Jesus was proud of the church of Ephesus for their "hatred" of the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which He also "hated." The word "hate" is a strong word, so let's see exactly what it means. It comes from the Greek word miseo, which means to hate, to abhor, or to find utterly repulsive.

If we step out of ourselves, the view would seem completely different to what we used to be, one because of the change in pace and posture, not that GOD did a once over on us, but that He overhauled the spirit within, while we are a slave to mindless repetition of the everyday life, to be pulled away from this life is GOD’s gift and to be made aware of its real application which is to live life in its fullest, for His grace and mercy. Jesus Himself told us how to pray. Many people know the Lord’s Prayer by heart, but many times we don’t use it as a pattern for our overall prayer life. During this Bible plan, as we seek God in prayer every day, consider ways to include the ideas in this “how to pray” prayer.
